My Friend Clinique

24 Mar

Yesterday I bought a new product from Clinique

Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup

in Fresh Golden (07).  It contains salicylic acid which is great for extra oily skin such as mine.  It boasts:

Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup

Feels so fresh, looks so natural. Non-irritating, oil-free makeup helps blend away blemishes, neutralize redness. Medicated ingredients help treat existing breakouts and keep them from coming back.

  • Skin Types: 2 – Dry Combination, 3 – Oily, 4 – Very Oily
  • Formula: Liquid
  • Coverage: Moderate
  • Benefits: Helps cover, clear and prevent acne

I liked the way it looked when she applied it to my face.  It was light and natural looking which is what I want. You really could not tell I had on anything at all.

I basically use foundation to even out my skin tone, so that fact that it helps with breakouts and oil control is great.  I use it very sparingly so this should last me six months.

I will post later how I like it after wearing it a few times.

I wanted to do something different with my nails a.k.a. claws, so I decided to cut them really low.  Wish I had a before picture to show as they did look like talons, lol.  I like my new look!  They are feminine.  The polish is OPI’s “Otherwise Engaged” which describes my relationship status quite well! image

I’m considering trying this color for my vacation

Turquoise and Caicos.  However, it looked more sea-foam green than turquoise.  I wonder how good it will look against my skin tone? Stay tuned…

My Way

Shoes–Baker’s (Wild Pair)

Ring–Macy’s (Guess)

Today I decided to wear the jumpsuit I purchased from H&M over the weekend to work.  I love it!  I love the way the fabric swooshes every time I walk.  It’s makes me feel like such a lady, lol.  I styled it with a milk chocolate shrunken leather jacket, raffia heels with gold cigarette stilettos, square pendant necklace, pink pearl earrings, diamond and gold bangles, and a diamond “bracelet” ring.

I received several compliments today.  I really like this look and I am glad that I decided to step outside the fashion box.

Weekend Warrior #4

21 Mar

I hadn’t planned on doing a lot of shopping this weekend, but when my sidekick not only encouraged and gave me dividends to do so–who was I to say no?!

I found her–my blush bag! As you can see, she is with me today! $52 Baker’s Shoes.

So, so sexy in rafia fabric $90 by Wild Pair

Pleated shorts with coupon $34 originally $49 Express

Normally something I wouldn’t wear–as I am 5’1.  But I tried it on and it fit like a glove.  I will just have to wear some awfully high heels so that I don’t drown in the bell bottomness of it all!  They legs are so wide that it actually looks like a dress.  I also have a pretty peach scarf that I plan to throw on with this.
