Lashed

15 Jun

I wanted to add a little “drama” to my day time look and decided to try Eylure lashes. I bought them for $7.99 from Target. I chose style number 202 “Dramatic” which was perfect for the look I was after. I’m guessing that they are a British company based upon the Union Jack flag on the box.

The lashes applied easily despite having a double layer. The kit came with adhesive as well as an applicator tool. It also had pictorial applying instructions. However, I opted not to use the supplied adhesive and instead bought Duo adhesive in black as it looks more natural than the white stuff.

I was pleased with the end result. I feel so pretty and feminine with them on, lol.

A Pop of Pink

I found this blouse on the clearance rack at Kohl’s and I love it. The front is rather plain, but the back has a sheer split panel that is longer than the front.

I wore it with a black pencil skirt with an exposed back zipper and leather side panels. I added a statement necklace to jazz it up.

I ended the look with colorful neon pumps.

The outfit below is another example of me shopping my closet to find pieces of clothing that I haven’t worn together before.

I call this look “Bow Knows,” lol. The loose fitting top is perfect for warm weather. I like the lengthiness of the skirt, too which I actually wore backwards so that the bow was in the back instead of the front.

Red Polka

Today’s ootd was thrown together, lol. It seems that I have more to wear in the cool weather months than the hot ones. Therefore I’m often left  scrambling to find something cool, cute, and professional to work in.

The beauty of black and white is that it pairs well with pretty much any color. I remembered that I had a seldom worn ruffled red tank and decided to throw it into the mix.

I added the short sleeve midi black cardigan to make the look more work friendly. Red accessories finished the look off.

Orange Crush

So I was walking back from Starbucks minding my own business when I spotted this beauty in the window of Niche Boutique. I had no plans on shopping as I was on break and headed back to work. However, I couldn’t resist.

Niche only gets a few sizes in of a particular item and they sell fast and thus I decided to make my move.

I tried her on and was in love. The bright orange compliments my rich brown skin beautifully.

I’m going to pair it with turquoise accessories. I’m thinking a nice big, chunky statement necklace. To tone it down and make it more sophisticated, a pair of nude heels will round out the look.
