This morning I attended an awards function to support a friend. Here is what I wore:
I’ve had this dress for a few years now and it is starting to get snug which is a bummer because I like it.
This was my time wearing the heels.

It’s spring time in Indiana-well at least it is according to the calendar! The temperatures are fluctuating between cold and warm. So I took advantage of one of the nicer days.
I actually have this dress in two other prints. It’s really comfortable and easy to wear.
I added touches of pink with my necklace, watch, camisole, and sunglasses. Plus there’s a splash of pink in my pumps.

Denim is always trendy but even more so this year. I tried the denim on denim look with a dress and boots.
I like that the dress is not fitted. The tie detail in the front gives it some visual interest so that it doesn’t look like a potato sack. I also like the that it has pockets.

So I was walking back from Starbucks minding my own business when I spotted this beauty in the window of Niche Boutique. I had no plans on shopping as I was on break and headed back to work. However, I couldn’t resist.
Niche only gets a few sizes in of a particular item and they sell fast and thus I decided to make my move.
I tried her on and was in love. The bright orange compliments my rich brown skin beautifully.
I’m going to pair it with turquoise accessories. I’m thinking a nice big, chunky statement necklace. To tone it down and make it more sophisticated, a pair of nude heels will round out the look.
Navy is such a luxe, classic color. It pairs well with most everything. However, it is hard to find, especially in shoes! I was smitten when I saw this lovely Rachel Roy pleated chain dress for $109. Unfortunately, this model does not do the dress justice!
I plan to have it shortened a wee bit because I have short legs. I tried it on at Macy’s and they did not have the XS that I needed. This dress runs on the large size. I plan to order it today so that I can have it in time for my fiance’s birthday in mid June. I love the low, pleated back! I think I might style this with some gold strappy sandals to play up on the gold chain halter.
Whatever I do, I will definitely post pics!

swooning over this Mark Fast creation! I first saw it on Marisa Miller who is on February’s cover of Shape.
Is this just not adorable and doable for $310?!!! If only I can locate it!
I found this heart themed number at H&M for $19.99. I’m still undecided though. I don’t know if I like the ruching and the poofy action in the hip area. What do you think?
