Cloned

This weekend my beau and I went on a date.  We attended a comedy show and a night club afterward.  I so less than impressed with the way the ladies dressed.  And yes I was looking because I love to see the way people put things together.

But it seemed that almost every woman was striving for the same look:

• Short
• Skin-tight
• Baring all
• Butt and breast cleavage
• Thematic

There was no fashion involved at all.  I want to style myself  different from this phenomenon!  Definitely don’t wanna look like everyone else!  How do you combat this problem?

In the Navy

Navy is such a luxe, classic color.  It pairs well with most everything.  However, it is hard to find, especially in shoes! I was smitten when I saw this lovely Rachel Roy pleated chain dress for $109. Unfortunately, this model does not do the dress justice!

I plan to have it shortened a wee bit because I have short legs.  I tried it on at Macy’s and they did not have the XS that I needed.  This dress runs on the large size.  I plan to order it today so that I can have it in time for my fiance’s birthday in mid June.  I love the low, pleated back!  I think I might style this with some gold strappy sandals to play up on the gold chain halter.

Whatever I do, I will definitely post pics!

Quick Fix

I got these from Forever 21 and wanted to spice them up a bit for the day. So I added my barrettes, lol.

Nailed

I cut my nails! The color is actually a corally-pink called Passion Fruit, but it looks red in the picture.

Naked

Yesterday I ordered Urban Decay’s  Naked eye shadow palette from Sephora.  Supposedly it is universally flattering.  Colors include:

Virgin, Sin, Naked, Darkhorse, Hustle, and Creep.  I’m curious, have any of you ever tried the Naked? If so, what are your thoughts?
